Arsene Wenger issues Manchester United prediction about Paul Pogba

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is confident that Paul Pogba will have a strong end to the season upon his return for Manchester United.

The France World Cup winner has been sidelined since December through injury but will make his return to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side during the run-in.

Fans are excited about the prospect of seeing Pogba link up with January recruit Bruno Fernandes for the first time, though he was named among the substitutes against Spurs.

However, Wenger believes that the three-month absence of the Premier League will have given Pogba plenty of time to think and expects a strong finish to the season from his compatriot.

"One of the advantages for all of us during this period is we could sit down quietly and think about our life, reassess what we want to do and where we want to go. I think it can only have benefitted Paul Pogba," he told BeIN Sports.

"One, he could realise the way he can help United now is to finish in a very strong way and secondly, he will realise that the transfers this season might not be as big and there might not be as many as before.

"He might have a real focus on Manchester United and I'm convinced, personally, if I had to bet, I would bet on a strong Pogba until the end of the season."
