Arsene Wenger discloses Arsenal's best dressing room DJs during Gunners tenure

Arsene Wenger is known as one of the Premier League’s all time great managers.

But the former Arsenal boss also has a passion for music - and, as this incredible insight reveals, dancing.

Wenger is being honoured as a Legend of Football in a prestigious charity night in October to raise money for the music charity Nordoff Robbins.

Frenchman Wenger will be honoured on October 7 and, in this interview with Sky Sports’ Geoff Shreeves , he reveals the similarities between The Beatles and football, his passion for dancing and love of Bob Marley .

"Today, I still love The Beatles because there is a simplicity. It's a bit like in football, where what is class is when it looks simple and their music looks very simple," said the 69-year-old.

"I'm a good rock and roll dancer and I'm good at the traditional dances like the waltz, but I'm not good in freedom of expression because I'm too stiff.

"Bob Marley, for me, was not fabricated in Hollywood. What I mean by that is that his music is not artificial.

Wenger also reveals who were the best dressing room DJs during his 22 years as Arsenal manager.

"In my last few years, it was [Theo] Walcott and [Olivier] Giroud. They were the two main ones that I know of, but the kitman Vic Akers would know much better than I do," he added.

Legends of Football has raised £8m for Nordoff Robbins and has also celebrated the achievements and careers of some of the game’s greats in the past 20 years.

Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard were the last two recipients while Brian Clough, Sir Bobby Robson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Kenny Dalglish, Alan Shearer and Eric Cantona have also been given the prestigious award.

Tables and places are still available for the event on Monday, October 7. For full details visit: www.lofootball.co.uk .
