Arsenal youngster Dan Casey is set to join Crystal Palace.
The London rivals have agreed a compensation fee for the 18-year-old, who was out of contract this summer.
The Gunners are understood to have offered Casey a professional deal, but he turned it down to explore other options.
Standard Sport understands that Arsenal have agreed a sell-on clause as part of the deal that is taking Casey to Selhurst Park.
The attacking midfielder impressed for Arsenal’s Under-18s side last season, scoring 18 goals in 21 appearances in the U18 Premier League.
Casey trained with Arsenal’s first team at times last season and also played for their U19 side in the UEFA Youth League.
He had been with Arsenal since the age of seven and last season spoke about the influence that club captain Martin Odegaard has had on him.
“When I was younger I was a Liverpool fan and loved watching Steven Gerrard and Philippe Coutinho,” Casey told Arsenal’s official website. “But now, playing for Arsenal, I really look up to Odegaard. He’s a top player.”
