Mikel Arteta will need to pick his Arsenal players up for today’s clash with West Brom after they crashed out of the Europa League to Villarreal.
The Gunners drew 0-0 with the Spanish side at Emirates Stadium on Thursday, losing 2-1 on aggregate and missing out on a place in the final against Manchester United.
They now have four Premier League games to go, with little to play for, but Arteta will be wary about letting the team slide further. Fans are already frustrated by performances and more defeats would only ramp up pressure on Arteta.
The Spaniard makes six changes. Including Gabriel Martinelli starting and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dropping to the bench.
Granit Xhaka is a out after pulling up with a groin strain just before kick-off on Thursday, while David Luiz (hamstring) and Pablo Mari (ankle) are absent too.
