Arsenal XI vs Watford: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup, latest injuries for Premier League

With an FA Cup final against Chelsea on the horizon, Mikel Arteta has a dilemma over his team selection for Arsenal's clash with Watford on Sunday.

The Spaniard has promised Arsenal will give their maximum out of respect to the relegation battle, but he will be tempted to rest players ahead of the Gunners’ trip to Wembley the following weekend.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of those who could sit out. The forward is chasing the Premier League’s golden boot but it is vital he’s fit to face Chelsea.

In midfield, Dani Ceballos is due a well-earned break and Ainsley Maitland-Niles will hope to get another chance to impress at wing-back.

In defence, Arteta is hampered by an injury to Shkodran Mustafi - which means he will miss the match with Watford on Sunday and probably next week’s FA Cup final on Saturday too.

As a result, Arteta may field his near first-choice back three - unless he opts to give Sokratis a first start since lockdown ended.
