Arsenal XI vs Villarreal: Confirmed lineup, team news as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang starts

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang starts for Arsenal against Villarreal tonight.

Arteta has named an attacking lineup and Emile Smith Rowe, Martin Odegaard, Nicolas Pepe and Bukayo Saka also start.

Kieran Tierney and Alexandre Lacazette are on bench. Lacazette (hamstring) and Tierney (knee) have trained this week and Mikel Arteta has named them among the substitutes at Emirates Stadium.

David Luiz is misses out with the hamstring injury he suffered against Newcastle on Sunday.

In his absence, Arteta has stuck with with Pablo Mari and Rob Holding, who usually play well together.

Arsenal XI: Leno; Bellerin, Holding, Mari, Saka; Xhaka, Partey; Odegaard, Smith Rowe, Pepe; Aubameyang.

Subs: Ryan, Okonkwo, Tierney, Gabriel, Lacazette, Willian, Cedric, Chambers, Nelson, Elneny, Nketiah, Martinelli.

Thursday 8.00pm GMT, BT Sport

Venue: Emirates Stadium
