Mikel Arteta has sprung a north London derby surprise with Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dropped against Tottenham.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the game, Gunners boss Arteta explained his decision to drop Aubameyang.
“He was going to start the game, we had a disciplinary issue, we’ve drawn the line, we move on. We keep it internal,” he said.
Asked if it was a blow, Arteta added: “We have other players who are willing to play. I am comfortable with that.”
Alexandre Lacazette leads the attack with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rower in support, while Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey are set to play holding midfield roles.
In defence, Cedric Soares gets the nod over Hector Bellerin, while the likes of Dani Ceballos, Willian and Nicolas Pepe join Aubameyang on the bench.
