Arsenal XI vs Nottingham Forest: Starting lineup, confirmed team news - Charlie Patino starts FA Cup tie

Charlie Patino starts for Arsenal in their FA Cup third-round tie against Nottingham Forest this evening.

The Gunners are short on numbers for today’s trip to the City Ground due to injury and Covid issues and players being away at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Bernd Leno starts in goal, while the likes of Cedric Soares and Nuno Tavares come into the defence. Gabriel misses out as he is suspended.

Albert Sambi Lokonga starts in midfield and is partnered by highly-rated youngster Patino on his full debut. Going forward, Eddie Nketiah returns to lead the line in attack, while Ben White, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka retain their starting berths.

Young Salah-Eddine is also in the squad, along with fellow youngsters Omari Hutchinson and Mika Miles Biereth.
