Runar Alex Runarsson and William Saliba could both make their Arsenal debuts on Wednesday against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is expected to rotate his team for the match ahead of Monday’s Premier League trip to Liverpool – and Runarsson and Saliba are two who could come in.
Goalkeeper Runarsson joined Arsenal on Monday from Dijon and has been training with the squad, while Saliba is slowly being integrated into first-team action given he is still just 19 years old.
Further forward, Cedric Soares will hope to make a first appearance of the season at right wing-back, while Joe Willock is likely to get a start in central midfield.
In attack, Eddie Nketiah will expect to the lead line after coming off the bench to score the winner against West Ham on Saturday.
Out wide, Reiss Nelson is likely to be involved for the first time this season and Nicolas Pepe should feature too as it is a chance for him to get some more minutes under his belt.
Arsenal predicted XI (3-4-3): Runarsson; Saliba, Luiz, Kolasinac; Cedric, Elneny, Willock, Saka; Pepe, Nketiah, Nelson.
