Arsenal XI vs Crystal Palace: Confirmed lineup, team news, injury latest for Premier League

Mikel Arteta has picked a forward-thinking lineup for Monday night’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

Granit Xhaka is the only major absentee as he is still recovering from a knee injury picked up last month.

Gabriel Martinelli is also a doubt after picking up an unspecified injury last week, but he was unlikely to start anyway.

Arteta could have named the same side who drew 0-0 with Brighton before the international break, but he has opted to change the midfield.

Given Arsenal are at home, the Spaniard may set up in a 4-3-3 formation - with an attacking midfield trio of Emile Smith Rowe, Martin Odegaard and Thomas Partey.

That means Albert Sambi Lokonga dropping to the bench and Nicolas Pepe coming in to play out wide.

Arsenal confirmed XI: Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Smith Rowe, Partey, Odegaard; Saka, Aubameyang, Pepe.

Subs: Leno, Holding, Maitland-Niles, Cedric, Tavares, Elneny, Sambi, Martinelli, Lacazette.

Crystal Palace confirmed XI: Guaita; Ward, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell; Gallagher, Milivojevic, McArthur; Benteke, Edouard, Ayew.

Subs: Butland, Tomkins, Kelly, Clyne, Kouyate, Hughes, Schlupp, Olise, Mateta.

Monday 8.00pm BST, Sky Sports

Venue: Emirates Stadium

Referee: Mike Dean
