Arsenal XI vs Brighton: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup, latest injuries for Premier League clash

Mikel Arteta takes his Arsenal squad to Brighton on Saturday with a mounting injury crisis at centre-back.

Calum Chambers is already sidelined for the season with a knee injury and there are fears Pablo Mari may also now miss the remaining matches with an ankle problem.

Add to that the fact David Luiz is suspended and Sokratis Papastathopoulos has a thigh strain, Arsenal fans could see Kieran Tierney fill in at centre-back this weekend.

The full-back has played in that position before during his time at Celtic and, with Rob Holding having played only once since January, the Scotland international may get the nod.

Ahead of the defence, Dani Ceballos should come in for the injured Granit Xhaka to partner Matteo Guendouzi.

In attack, Mesut Ozil is likely to miss out again but could make the bench. Nicolas Pepe is returning to full match sharpness and may start out wide, with Bukayo Saka dropping into left-back.

Alexandre Lacazette is also pushing to start up front in place of Eddie Nketiah, who was preferred for Wednesday’s loss at Manchester City.
