Arsenal XI v Brighton: Confirmed team news, starting lineup, latest injuries for Premier League clash

Mikel Arteta takes his Arsenal squad to Brighton this afternoon with a mounting injury crisis at centre-back.

Calum Chambers is already sidelined for the season with a knee injury and there are fears Pablo Mari may also now miss the remaining matches with an ankle problem.

Add to that the fact David Luiz is suspended and Sokratis Papastathopoulos has a thigh strain, and Arteta has opted for a centre-back pairing of Rob Holding and Shkodran Mustafi with Hector Bellerin and Sead Kolasinac at wing-back.

Ahead of the defence, Dani Ceballos comes in for the injured Granit Xhaka to partner Matteo Guendouzi.

In attack, Mesut Ozil was left out vs Manchester City but makes the bench here. Nicolas Pepe is returning to full match sharpness and starts out wide along with Bukayo Saka.

Alexandre Lacazette also starts along with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal lineup: Leno, Bellerin, Mustafi, Holding, Kolasinac, Pepe, Ceballos, Guendouzi, Saka, Lacazette, Aubameyang

Subs: Tierney, Ozil, Maitland-Niles, Nelson, Martinez, Willock, Nketiah, Martinelli, Medley

Brighton lineup: Ryan, Schelotto, Webster, Dunk, Burn, Propper, Bissouma, Mooy, Gross, Trossard, Maupay

Subs: Lamptey, Duffy, Stephens, Mac Allister, Murray, March, Montoya, Button, Connolly

Referee: Martin Atkinson
