Arsenal wonderkid set to sign new long-term contract after lengthy period of talks

Arsenal youngster Kido Taylor-Hart is set to sign a new long-term contract at the Emirates Stadium, football.london understands.

The left-winger, who will turn 19-years-old at the end of September, has been in discussions with the club over a new deal since back in March.

The youngster is considered as one of the most exciting prospects at the Emirates Stadium and his decision to commit his future to the club will be great news to everyone connected with Arsenal.

Taylor-Hart has attracted plenty of interest in recent months, with clubs across England, France and Belgium all showing an interest in his services.

However, he looks set to remain at the Emirates Stadium by signing a new long-term deal.

The winger, who made 30 appearances over the course of the 2020/21 campaign, including two outings in the EFL Trophy against AFC Wimbledon and Crawley Town, has been on Arsenal's books since the age of just seven-years-old.

Taylor-Hart also netted 11 goals in all competitions last season, proving that he has the capability to drift in from the wide areas and put the ball in the back of the net.

With the lifelong Gunners fan poised to put pen to paper on a new deal, he will be followed in doing so by goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo.

Another promising youngster working his way up through the ranks at the Emirates Stadium, Okonkwo is poised to sign his new deal shortly.

With Okonkwo and Taylor-hart both committing their long-term futures to the club, it will be good news for everyone, especially manager Mikel Arteta, who will no doubt take comfort from the fact that the club are ensuring they are keeping hold of the next generation of talent.
