Arsenal wonderkid's first words after signing new contract and Lacazette & Aubameyang's advice

Tyreece John-Jules has signed a new Arsenal contract.

Confirmation of the highly-rated forward committing his future to the club came on Monday afternoon and the 18-year-old can look forward to attempting to the catch the eye of first-team head coach Unai Emery.

One of the most promising youngsters on the books at the Emirates Stadium,  John-Jules ' previous deal was due to expire at the end of next season and  had been linked with a summer transfer to Paris Saint-Germain as well as Monaco .

But tying him down to a new contract is certainly good news for supporters.

John-Jules took to social media after putting pen-to-paper on his contract extension and said: "Please to have signed a new contract at Arsenal, the hard work continues!"

The teenager netted twice for an Gunners XI in a pre-season friendly against Boreham Wood last month with his brace helping to claw back a 3-1 half-time deficit.

That earned him a spot in the pre-season squad tour to America where he assisted Eddie Nketiah's winner against Bayern Munich.

Much is expected from John-Jules and he's revealed how Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are helping to improve his game.

"I’ve been hanging around with Lacazette and Aubameyang, trying to learn from them on and off the pitch," John-Jules told Arsenal.com .

"They've just told me to be positive, to be confident when I'm on the ball, especially with the first team. I've got to show what I can do and keep going. I can learn so much from them.

"It's always been a dream come true to play at this club. As always, I've been working hard, so I think I deserve this new contract. I'm just trying to push on now to impress the manager.

"I need to keep working hard, playing for the first team and when I get my chance, try to take it as well as possible."

The 18-year-old is revealed last month that one of his three main targets for the new season is to break into Unai Emery's first-team.

"Stay injury free and keep my fitness up and hopefully get a chance in the first team, and if I do, take it," he told  Arsenal.com  when asked what his targets are for the season.

"Hopefully I can make my competitive debut this season and be a strong part of the under-23s team and then kick on."
