Thomas Partey has been ruled out of Arsenal's match against Leeds on Sunday with a thigh strain.
The 27-year-old did not travel with Ghana during the international break after he suffered the injury during the Gunners' 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa a fortnight ago.
Partey, who only sustained two injuries in two years while at Atletico Madrid, will continue his recovery at London Colney over the coming days.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Elneny and Sead Kolasinac will both be unavailable after testing positive for COVID-19 over the international break.
Both players are currently asymptomatic and following protocols ahead of returning to training.
Pablo Mari has resumed full training following his return from injury with Gabriel Martinelli returning to squad sessions within the next fortnight.
Arsenal face Leeds at Elland Road in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon and already have a number of players who played multiple games in six days, including Bukayo Saka and Kieran Tierney.
