Arsenal vs Tottenham: Predictions, team news, live stream, TV, betting, tickets – EFL Cup 2018-19 preview

Arsenal vs Tottenham
EFL Cup quarter-final 2018/19
Venue: Emirates Stadium
Date: Wednesday, 19 December, 2018
Kick-off time: 7:45pm GMT

The north London derby rivalry resumes on Wednesday night as Arsenal and Tottenham battle it out with silverware on the line in the EFL Cup.

While Spurs and Arsenal may have bigger trophies in their sights this season, the EFL Cup represents a serious chance for both clubs to lift some valuable silverware as competition for top honours becomes even fiercer among England's elite sides.

Mauricio Pochettino will be out for revenge after losing 4-2 at the Emirates earlier in December, while Unai Emery is targeting his first trophy as Gunners boss.

Team news

Hector Bellerin has added to Emery's injury concerns and will be out for "weeks" with a calf injury.

The full-back joins Konstantinos Mavropanos (groin), Rob Hoding (knee), Danny Welbeck (ankle) and Emile Smith Towe (groin) on the sidelines, although Shkodran Mustafi (thigh) and Sead Kolasinac (thigh) are battling back to try and be fit in time.

Tottenham are no better off with Eric Dier (appendx surgery), Mousa Dembele (foot), Victor Wanyama (knee), Jan Vertonghen (thigh) and Vincent Janssen (ankle) out of action.

Juan Foyth (thigh), Serge Aurier (groin) and Davinson Sanchez (thigh) are all on the mend and could play a part.
