Arsenal vs Sheffield United kick off time changed following government decision

Arsenal's Premier League matchday four fixture with Sheffield United has been rescheduled following the government's rules regarding coronavirus.

"Following the UK Government's announcement yesterday that pubs will close at 22:00, midweek Premier League fixtures will now take place at 17:45 and 20:00." a statement read on the Premier League website.

The Gunners were initially scheduled to play Sheffield United at the Emirates Stadium at 3pm on Saturday October 3, but will now face Chris Wilder's side a day later at 2pm Sunday October 4.

Alongside the change has come the decision for the game to be broadcast on Sky Sports in the UK.

Art de Roche: There could be a chance for Nicolas Pepe

The Gunners have already had a fixture rescheduled due to the new rules with their matchday three trip to Liverpool moved from a 8:15pm kick off to an 8pm kick off on Monday [September 28].

Before Mikel Arteta has a chance to worry about facing Jurgen Klopp and Wilder, however, he faces the challenge of beating Leicester City in the Carabao Cup third round, a competition he insists on taking seriously.

"We are going to take the Carabao Cup seriously, that is for sure," he told reporters ahead of his side's third round clash with Leicester City on Wednesday [September 23].

"Obviously with the fixtures we have, the number of games, it is very difficult. Maybe not in the first games but when the competition moves a little more forward, how teams – not just ourselves – are going to treat the competition.

"But we have to go day by day, lets see what position we are in for Wednesday to try and put out the strongest possible team to try and win it.

"I think it is [taken seriously enough]

"The last few seasons I think this competition for the clubs has raised [importance], there is only one winner in the Premier League.

"That leaves a lot of frustrated clubs and now everybody wants a title and you can see in the last few years that teams have used strong line-ups and the types of finals we have seen in recent years."
