Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest: Prediction, tickets, live stream, TV, team news, lineup - Carabao Cup preview

Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest
Carabao Cup 2019/20
Venue: Emirates Stadium
Date: Tuesday, 24 September, 2019
Kick-off time: 7:45pm BST

Arsenal face a tricky test in the Carabao Cup this week as they welcome an in-form Nottingham Forest side to the Emirates.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's superb free-kick earned Arsenal a 3-2 comeback win over Aston Villa on Sunday, though the Gunners' attacking brilliance has papered over some big cracks in Unai Emery's midfield and defence.

Emery's men now take on a Forest team who currently sit sixth in the Championship - just two points off top spot - and they are not going to roll over at the Emirates.

Arsenal team news and predicted lineup

Full-backs Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin returned to action for Arsenal's Under-23s on Friday night, though Tuesday's match may come too soon for both of them.

Alexandre Lacazette remains out of action and with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang needing a rest, Gabriel Martinelli could be given a chance up front.

Mesut Ozil could also start having missed out on Sunday's squad to face Aston Villa, despite Emery previously suggesting the German had been rested in midweek in preparation for the weekend.

Arsenal XI: Martinez; Chambers, Mustafi, Luiz, Kolasinac; Torriera, Willock; Nelson, Saka, Smith Rowe; Martinelli

Prediction: Arsenal 3-1 Nottingham Forest

If Emery opts for a similar lineup to the one he put out in the Europa League, Arsenal should not have too much trouble.

However, Arsenal cannot afford to be as careless as they have been of late - especially if they rest Aubameyang.
