Arsenal vs Norwich City, Premier League preview: Prediction, start time, team news, TV, live stream, h2h, odds

Arsenal are looking for their third win in a row as Norwich City head to the Emirates on Wednesday night.

The Gunners restarted the season in disastrous fashion with Premier League defeats at Manchester City and Brighton along with an ever-growing injury list.

However, Mikel Arteta's side have rallied, winning 2-0 at Southampton before beating Sheffield United 2-1 to reach the FA Cup semi-finals.

Arsenal retain an outside hope of Champions League qualification, and a win against Daniel Farke's rock-bottom Canaries would put the Gunners six points off fifth-placed Wolves.

Date, time and venue

Arsenal vs Norwich City is scheduled for a 6pm BST kick-off on Wednesday, June 30, 2020.

The match will be behind closed doors at Emirates Stadium with no fans due to be present due to government guidelines regarding coronavirus.

How to watch

TV channel: The match will be televised live on BT Sport 1, with coverage starting from 5.30pm.

Live stream: BT Sport subscribers will be able to stream the match online via the video player and the BT Sport app.

Team news

Arsenal will assess a number of injuries before the match. David Luiz (knee) was injured in the FA Cup win at Sheffield United but could be fit, while Mesut Ozil (back) and Lucas Torreira (ankle) also face tests - as does Cedric Soares (nose) who will be pushing to make his debut.

Pablo Mari (ankle), Bernd Leno, Gabriel Martinelli and Calum Chambers (all knee) are long-term absentees.

Struggling Norwich will give fitness tests to Lukas Rupp (hip), Max Aarons (calf) and Adam Idah (quad) ahead of the game.

Timm Klose (suspension) and Moritz Leitner (hernia) will be absent, but Todd Cantwell is fit to play following a abductor issue. Defensive trio Grant Hanley, Christoph Zimmermann and Sam Byram (all hamstring) will miss the rest of the season.

Arsenal provisional squad: Martinez, Macey, Bellerin, Soares, Sokratis, Luiz, Holding, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Tierney, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Torreira, Ceballos, Maitland-Niles, Willock, Ozil, Nelson, Pepe, Aubameyang, Lacazette, Nketiah.

Norwich provisional squad: Krul, McGovern, Fahrmann, Aarons, Lewis, Godfrey, Tettey, Rupp, Cantwell, McLean, Martin, Hernandez, Stiepermann, Vrancic, Buendia, Trybull, Duda, Pukki, Idah, Drmic.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-0 Norwich

Though the Gunners have struggled this season, it is difficult to look beyond a home win here. Arteta's team showed resilience in their last two victories, and Norwich are starting relegation in the face.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

Arsenal have won eight of their 17 Premier League meetings with Norwich, while the Canaries have just two victories and seven draws.

Still, two of the last three League matches have ended in draws, including earlier this season as Arsenal twice fought back from a goal down to draw 2-2.
