Arsenal vs Man City: Premier League 19/20 prediction, tickets, team news, live stream, TV, H2H, odds - preview

Two teams under pressure will go head-to-head in what looks a cracking Premier League contest as Arsenal host Manchester City on Sunday.

Despite beating West Ham on Monday night, and securing Europa League qualification with a 2-2 draw against Standard Liege in Belgium on Thursday, the home side have been far from convincing during Freddie Ljungberg's brief reign as interim boss.

In all, the Gunners have won just one of their last 11 games in all competitions, and have not tasted victory at the Emirates since beating Bournemouth 1-0 on October 6.

Pep Guardiola's City, meanwhile, appeared to surrender any hope they had of retaining the title in last weekend's 2-1 Manchester derby defeat, and now trail runaway leaders Liverpool by a massive 14 points.

Venue:
Emirates Stadiun
Date: Sunday, 13 December, 2019
Kick-off time: 4:30pm GMT

Match prediction: Arsenal 0-2 Man City

It would be foolish to completely write off Arsenal's chances on Sunday, especially with City having lost four of their 16 League games this season.

However, the likes of Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne should have too much quality for an Arsenal defence lacking confidence.

Team news and predicted lineups

Arsenal

Ljungberg made nine changes for the midweek trip to Belgium, with the likes of Mesut Ozil and Nicolas Pepe not even in the travelling squad, Both should return here, while Gabriel Martinelli is likely to continue in attack after scoring on his first league start.

Kieran Tierney is expected to be absent for a long period after dislocating his shoulder, while Granit Xhaka is also out because of concussion.

Hector Bellerin withdrew from the side to face West Ham because of a tight hamstring in the warm-up, but may be back, and Shkodran Mustafi is available having been suspended in the Europa League.

Man City

City also rotated in midweek, with Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne both left on the bench for the win over Dinamo Zagreb.

Gabriel Jesus scored a hat-trick in that game, and will continue to lead the line in the absence of Sergio Aguero, while Oleksandr Zinchenko made his return from a knee injury as a second-half substitute.

However, Guardiola's centre-half injury crisis grew when John Stones limped out of last weekend's Manchester derby.

Goalkeeper Ederson was a late withdrawal from the starting lineup for the Zagreb win because of illness, but should be fit.

Possible Arsenal lineup (4-2-3-1): Leno; Bellerin, Chambers, Sokratis, Kolasinac; Torreira, Guendouzi; Pepe, Ozil, Martinelli, Aubameyang

Possible Man City lineup (4-2-3-1): Ederson; Walker, Fernandinho, Otamendi, Mendy; Rodri, Silva; De Bruyne, Bernardo, Sterling; Jesus

Head to head (H2H) results history

Arsenal still dominate this fixture with 23 Premier League wins to City's 11, along with 10 draws.

However, City have won the last four League meetings: Guardiola's side won 2-0 at the Emirates last August and 3-1 at the Etihad back in February.
