Arsenal vs Chelsea
Premier League 2018/19
Venue: Emirates Stadium
Date: Saturday, January 19, 2019
Kick-off time: 5:30pm GMT
Arsenal and Chelsea will battle it out in a Saturday evening London derby with a Premier League top-four finish very much at stake.
Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea currently sit fourth in the table and lead both Unai Emery's Arsenal and Manchester United by six points - a healthy gap, but one which could disappear within a week.
A defeat for Arsenal would be a hammer-blow to their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League via the domestic route, while a win for Chelsea would keep alive their faint hopes of mounting a late title challenge if the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City slip up.
Arsenal vs Chelsea team news and line-ups
Arsenal: Leno, Bellerin, Papastathopoulos, Koscielny, Kolasinac, Torreira, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Ramsey, Lacazette, Aubameyang
Subs: Cech, Elneny, Ozil, Maitland-Niles, Iwobi, Monreal, Mustafi
Chelsea: Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Alonso, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic, Pedro, Hazard, Willian
Subs: Barkley, Caballero, Giroud, Hudson-Odoi, Christensen, Emerson Palmieri, Ampadu
Referee: Anthony Taylor (Cheshire)
Score prediction: Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea
Neither side is in full flow of late, with early hopes of title challenges starting to fade into the reality of a battle for a top-four finish.
Arsenal cannot realistically afford to lose this game if they are to stand a chance of finishing fourth (or better). Chelsea will have to strike a balance as they know that a draw would keep the Gunners at bay, yet potentially allow sixth-placed Manchester United to make up ground.
With so much at stake, the game should be a tight affair - Arsenal have conceded almost double Chelsea's League tally this season (32 to 17) but the Blues have not scored more than two goals in a match since November.
