Arsenal vs Brentford highlights: Watch all the goals as Mikel Arteta's side fall to surprise defeat

Arsenal were left stunned as Brentford struck late to seal a 3-2 friendly win at an empty Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.

The Gunners are building up to the first night of the Premier League resumption on June 17, when they are scheduled to take on Manchester City and attempt to push closer to Chelsea in the race for a top-four finish in 2019-20.

After dismantling Charlton Athletic 6-0 just four days ago, Arsenal welcomed another Championship side in Brentford to the Emirates on Wednesday.

The outcome was not to be the same, however.

Arsenal led the match 1-0 at half-time after midfielder Joe Willock struck low into the bottom corner after a bursting run from Hector Bellerin.

The Bees levelled through Tarique Fosu, but Arteta's men found themselves ahead once more after Alexandre Lacazette's tidy turn and close-range finish.

Arsenal failed to hold on to the lead once more, with two late goals from Halil Dervisoglu and Shandon Baptiste sealing the win for Brentford.

Arteta is unlikely to be too worried about a friendly result, but some fans may be slightly concerned with just a week to go before the Gunners take on Pep Guardiola's City.

Prior to kick-off at the Emirates on Wednesday, the Arsenal squad and Arteta all took a knee and wore t-shirts displaying messages in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
