Arsenal vs BATE Borisov
Europa League 2018-19 | Round of 32, second leg
Venue: Emirates Stadium
Date: Thursday, February 21, 2019
Kick-off: 5:55pm GMT
Arsenal have plenty of work to do if they want to book their place in the Europa League last 16.
BATE Borisov secured a 1-0 in the first-leg clash in Belarus last Thursday after a turgid performance on the road from the Gunners.
Unai Emery is confident his side can turn things around at the Emirates, particularly with his side enjoying a week off from matches in between the two fixtures.
But with the Europa League Arsenal’s last remaining hope of silverware this season, the Spaniard cannot afford anymore slip-ups.
Arsenal team news
Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey both missed the trip to Belarus with the former again absent due to illness.
The German playmaker could be in contention to return on Thursday.
Sokratis also missed the first leg after his recent ankle injury but did return to first-team training last Tuesday.
Alexandre Lacazette will definitely miss out after he was shown a straight red card in the first-leg defeat.
Score prediction: Arsenal 3-0 BATE
Arsenal were woeful away from home last time and surely cannot be as wasteful as they were that night.
Even without the suspended Lacazette, there is more than enough firepower in that Arsenal team to get past an opponent they put 10 past over two games in the same competition last season.
