Arsenal unveil new Adidas away kit inspired by iconic 90s shirts

Arsenal have unveiled their new away kit for the 2025-26 season.

The design “pays homage to the 90s” and is inspired by the Royal Arsenal Gatehouse lightning bolt, which featured on Arsenal away shirts in 1994-95 and 1995-96.

The navy shirt also features metallic detailing and the sleeves have the iconic adidas three stripes in red.

The kit will be debuted by Arsenal on Wednesday when they kick off their pre-season with a friendly against AC Milan in Singapore.

“I love the look of our new away kit and we can’t wait to wear it for the first time in front of our supporters here in Singapore,” said Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice.

“Gooners all over the world give us a special energy. We’re excited to take that with us into an exciting new season.”

The film produced to launch the kit includes Rice and Alessia Russo, styled against cityscapes from New York to Paris to Singapore, with exaggerated scale to reflect how supporters make the players feel 100ft tall.

The new kit is part of a wider collection of away clothing available for Arsenal fans, which includes a bucket hat and waistbag featuring the same lightning bolt print as the shirt, alongside a two-tone adidas x Arsenal Samba sneaker with a navy blue upper and three stripes in red.

Juergen Rank, senior design director at adidas, said: “For this season’s away shirt we wanted to create something nostalgic, leaning on the lightning bolt graphic and reinterpreting it in a fresh and contemporary way for the modern era of Arsenal supporters.

“The pattern and navy colourway have become synonymous with some of the club’s most iconic shirts of the past, and we hope supporters of the club love it as much as we do.

“We’re really excited to see it worn on-pitch and in the away stands this season.”
