Arsenal transfer target Everton admits he has offer on table

Arsenal target Everton has admitted he has a transfer offer on the table - but has refused to reveal the name of the club keen on signing him.

Brazil international Everton became a Gunners transfer target following his Copa America heroics, where he netted in the final as the Selecao ran out 3-1 winners over Peru.

The Gunners are reportedly leading the race for his signature, despite AC Milan and Atletico Madrid also taking a keen interest in him.

And Everton has admitted a team has already made contact.

"At this moment I have an offer, but I can't say the name of the club," said Everton.

"Just like I can't promise that on Thursday I'll still be playing for Gremio, we'll see."

Arsenal have made one signing this summer, landing 18-year-old forward Gabriel Martinelli from Ituano.

The north London club have been linked to a whole host of targets, but transfer fees continue to be a huge hindrance for the Gunners.

Arsenal do not have the same money to spend as their top six rivals, and have already seen themselves priced out of a deal to sign Wilfried Zaha.

However, Unai Emery's side are confident of completing a £25million transfer for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney.
