Arsenal transfer target delivers message over his future as he responds to speculation

Sevilla star Joan Jordan insists that he is only focused on his football in Spain, amid links with a transfer to Arsenal.

The 26-year-old midfielder has been strongly linked with a move away, with the Spaniard impressing in La Liga in recent seasons having moved from Espanyol to Eibar, before joining Sevilla in the summer of 2019.

Since then, he has played 41 times for the Europa League champions, with Jordan playing 12 times for the La Liga side so far this season.

His form has attracted attention, with Arsenal among the clubs linked ahead of the January transfer window, but Jordan has poured cold water over suggestions that he could be on the move this month.

Mikel Arteta on Alexandre Lacazette's future

As per Estadio Deportivo via Mail Sport, Jordan said: "In the end, these are just things that come out, like the many things that were said, the rumours, when I was at Eibar.

"I have always been very clear about the present… the future does not feed me, it takes away from me and does not give me the energy I need.

"My mind is genuinely here in Sevilla and on the derby. I am at a super ambitious club, and I have nothing more to say because I really am super comfortable here, like I was when I arrived here.

"Things can come out, but I tell you my mind today and the people that know me can back me up, it’s not that I’m avoiding the question just that really, my mind is on the derby."
