Arsenal transfer rumours: Wilfried Zaha offer, Gunners learn Emi Buendia value

Arsenal and Mikel Arteta will be desperate for a more consistent 2021 in the Premier League after a largely underwhelming 2020.

Despite success in the FA Cup and then the Community Shield, the Gunners struggled in the Premier League - especially at the start of the 2020/21 season.

With the January window a chance to strengthen, Arteta will be looking to improve his squad and he reportedly wants a new creative midfielder this month.

In light of this, we bring you a round-up of the latest Arsenal-related transfer stories and rumours.

Buendia value revealed

Reports in recent weeks have suggested that Arsenal are looking to make a move for Norwich City playmaker Emi Buendia.

There has been speculation that the Canaries would accept a £15million bid for Buendia, but according to Eurosport, the Championship club will demand more than that.

It would take at least £25m for Norwich to consider selling the Argentine star, as Daniel Farke's side anticipate an approach from the Gunners.

The 24-year-old has been in fine form for the Canaries so far this season with six goals and the same amount of assists in the Championship.

Race for Zaha

According to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Arsenal are in a race with Everton and AC Milan for Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha.

However, unlike the other two clubs, the Gunners are "set to make an official offer" to Palace for Zaha, it is claimed.

The 26-year-old Ivory Coast international has long been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

The north London club were heavily rumoured to be interested in signing the former Manchester United man before they brought Nicolas Pepe to the capital back in the summer of 2019.

Arsenal urged to snub Isco move

Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell has told Arteta to ignore signing Isco in January, and instead put his faith in Emile Smith Rowe.

The Gunners are reportedly on the lookout for a new creative midfielder - with the Real Madrid playmaker being heavily linked in recent weeks.

However, Campbell has warned Arteta against this, when talking to Football Insider.

"Well Emile Smith Rowe's been creative, Saka's been creative. So I’m not sure where Isco would fit. He’s a gifted player, don’t get me wrong, but he’s not someone who’ll pick the ball up and go past people. He’s a technical operator.

“I’ve seen him a lot and when you play well, he tends to play well. But he’s not someone who takes the game by the scruff of the neck."
