Arsenal transfer rumours: Thomas Partey Chelsea claim, Sead Kolasinac offer, teenager linked

Arsenal return to Premier League action this weekend after two weeks off due to the October international break.

For Gunners supporters, it will be the first opportunity to see £45millon deadline day signing Thomas Partey in action as they travel to Manchester City.

It was an impressive summer for Mikel Arteta’s side, and if reports are to be believed, then it looks as if they will continue their search for new players in the January transfer window.

Here are the very latest Arsenal transfer stories.

Gunners to battle it out for Reading winger

Arsenal are among the three Premier League clubs interested in signing Reading winger Michael Olise, according to the Daily Mail.

With just Friday to complete any last-minute dealings, the Gunners will have to act quick if they are to get this over the line.

The 18-year-old is also a target for Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers - the report states - after the teenager broke into the Royals’ first-team last year.

The French youth international has had previous spells at both Manchester City and Chelsea academies.

Partey was not wanted by Chelsea

New Arsenal signing Partey was not a target for Chelsea this summer, despite the Ghanaian’s father’s claims recently.

Partey’s father said that the Blues were in the race for the ex-Atletico Madrid man’s signature before the Gunners activated his release clause.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano - speaking on the Here We Go Podcast earlier in the week - Frank Lampard’s side were not involved in the battle to sign the Ghana midfielder.

The respected Italian journalist stated that Chelsea were actually after Declan Rice, rather than focusing on a deal for Partey.

Kolasinac offered to Roma

Arsenal full-back Sead Kolasinac has been offered to Italian side Roma, according to Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness ).

Kolasinac was close to moving to Bayer Leverkusen before the international transfer window closed, but a deal fell through in the latter stages with the German side unable to find the funds for the Bosnian.

The Italian outlet are reporting that ‘an intermediary recently offered’ Kolasinac to Roma, after he ‘lost his starting position at the club and is available to consider a transfer’.

Arteta currently has Kieran Tierney and Bukayo Saka who can operate on the left side of the defensive line.
