Arsenal transfer rumours: Thiago contact, Ceballos to AC Milan, Sarr interest

The Premier League season is now just over three weeks away from starting, as Arsenal prepare for their first full season under the tutelage of Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners are in competitive action next weekend, though, as they face Premier League champions Liverpool in the Community Shield.

It seems like Arteta is trying to push through one or two deals before the pair meet at Wembley Stadium.

The ultimate lowdown on Houssem Aouar

With that being said, here are the very latest Arsenal-related transfer rumours from this morning.

Thiago interest

Arsenal are interested in signing Liverpool transfer target Thiago Alcantara.

The Daily Mail report that Arsenal have enquired over the future of Thiago ahead of what is likely to be his final game for Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.

They add that Liverpool are reluctant to pay Bayern’s asking price of £23m, given the player would be available to discuss terms over a free transfer as soon as January.

However, the Gunners would have to raise funds by selling at least two other midfielders, with Lucas Torreira and Mohamed Elneny being considered for sale.

Milan want Ceballos deal

AC Milan are set to make a loan bid for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.

The Gunners are keen to bring the Spaniard back to the Emirates after a successful spell with the club last term.

According to The Telegraph, negotiations have stalled after the sudden departure of Raul Sanllehi, with Milan not trying to take advantage and swoop in.

Ceballos has spoken about his desire to break into the Madrid first-team but is thought to be open to another loan move.

Sarr interest

Arsenal and Barcelona are amongst the clubs tracking Malang Sarr on a free transfer.

The 21-year-old left Nice this summer after some impressive performances which have attracted interest from across the globe.

Whilst the Gunners are keen to wrap up a deal for Gabriel, they're also trying to convince Sarr to join the club, report the Mail.
