Arsenal transfer rumours: Rabiot and Lacazette swap deal, Willock makes Aubameyang admission

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta faces a huge summer transfer window once the season ends, with the Spaniard set to take charge of his first full campaign at the Emirates Stadium.

Arteta himself admitted the club are in a 'process of uncertainty' at the moment, after effectively inheriting a squad from former manager Unai Emery.

A lot of the squad are likely to be moved on in the summer, and the Gunners have been linked with a whole host of players as well.

With that being said, here are the latest Arsenal related transfer rumours.

Arteta hopes FA Cup run persuades Aubameyang to stay

Gunners in swap talks

Juventus are planning a swap deal involving Adrien Rabiot and Alexandre Lacazette this summer.

According to Italian publication Calciomercato, the Italian giants are interested in signing Lacazette this summer and are prepared to offer midfielder Adrien Rabiot in exchange.

The report also claims that the Gunners contacted Veronique Rabiot, Adrien’s agent and mother, in January to discuss a loan deal for the remainder of the 2019/20 campaign.

Willock makes Aubameyang future admission

Joe Willock has urged Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to remain at the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Aubameyang – who scored his 24th and 25th goals of the season against Man City over the weekend – has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Arsenal.

Talks also appear to have stalled in the last few months over a new deal with speculation growing linking him with a move away this summer.

Willock told the Beautiful Game podcast : “Auba’s an amazing guy. He's our captain but not only that, he’s a massive, massive player for us.

“I don’t really know what’s going with all that stuff but, I love to play with him, he’s an amazing guy.

“Hopefully he does stay with the club. He looks happy.”

Arteta confident about attracting new players

Mikel Arteta believes convincing players to join Arsenal will not be difficult this summer.

Arteta is bullish about strengthening in the summer window, regardless of whether they qualify for Europe or not.

He said: “I don’t think we should bring players that need a lot of convincing.

“The feeling I get when I talk to a lot of people is that the players still want to come to the club because of the history, the way we do things, our values, the fans we have, our stadium. That’s a really attractive thing, that’s my feeling.”
