Arsenal transfer rumours: Jack Grealish tipped to sign, Manor Solomon move, Mesut Ozil decision

Arsenal continue their assault on Premier League recovery on Thursday night against Crystal Palace. Mikel Arteta's team have now won four games in succession in all competitions, three of which have come in the Premier League.

In the meantime, the club has worked hard to offload a slew of reserve players as they look to fine-tune the squad in preparation for further investment.

Sead Kolasinac has already departed on loan, while there are reports of a myriad of other players that could be on the way out this month. We have an update on one here.

We also have an update on two young attackers who the club could pursue in the coming months.

Here is a round-up of the latest Arsenal transfer rumours.

Arsenal interest in Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon

Arsenal are monitoring the progress of Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon with the view to making an approach in the summer transfer, according to recent reports.

The 21-year-old Solomon has produced a series of excellent performances in the Champions League over the past 18 months, including scoring against Real Madrid in both of the Ukraine club's two wins against the La Liga giants in the group stages this season.

And now the Guardian reports that Arsenal have already held initial discussions with the player's camp in preparation for a summer move after scouting him extensively over the past year.

Solomon previously revealed that Manchester City tried tosign him in 2017, when Arteta was at the club. "They really wanted me and I had a meeting with them but unfortunately it did not work out," he told the Guardian.

"Clubs in Europe don't look at the Israeli league as a strong league, so they don't buy players from the Israeli league for such big money. My owner in Israel demanded a lot of money. He wanted £5m for me and then he heard it was Manchester City, he wanted £9m."

Jack Grealish transfer tipped

Arsenal have been told to sign Aston Villa star Jack Grealish, who is enjoying a brilliant individual campaign thus far as he leads Villa into the upper reaches of the Premier League.

Villa currently sit in eighth position but could move as high as third if they win their games in hand, while Grealish has five goals and seven assists already.

And Piers Morgan and Harry Redknapp believe that Arsenal should chase Grealish, even if it costs £100 million.

"I think they have to spend," Redknapp said to Morgan while speaking on the Harry Redknapp Show. "They are way off it, at the moment. They need to bring a bit of quality. Arsenal is a massive football club – Take a Grealish. He needs to play at the bigger club.

Morgan agreed, adding that he would break the bank for the midfielder. Previously, Morgan said on Twitter: "Arsenal should break the bank for @JackGrealish in January. If we don't get some creative flair into the team, we're going nowhere - and he's the most creative player in the country.

"Offer Villa £100m for him or £50m + [Mesut] Ozil, [Shkodran] Mustafi & [Granit] Xhaka. I'm deadly serious."

Ozil nears north London exit

Mesut Ozil is close to a north London exit as he enters the final six months of his contract, per Fabrizio Romano when talking to the AFTV YouTube channel.

Ozil is now free to discuss terms with any overseason team and has been in discussions with Fenerbache for some time. Romano reports that a deal is close and says that Arsenal are eager for the midfielder to leave on a free transfer this month, though that decision will ultimately be Ozil's.

Ozil has not played for the club since last March. While he played 10 Premier League matches under Arteta prior to lockdown, upon football's return, he was entirely omitted from the squad on several occasions and was not named in the 25-man Premier League or Europa League squads ahead of the current campaign.

The German is widely expected to depart the club, with Arteta saying that his future will be decided imminently.
