Arsenal transfer rumours: Eberechi Eze wants Gunners move, Morgan Sanson contact made

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be looking to improve his squad over the summer in his first end of season transfer window in charge of the Gunners.

Arteta effectively inherited Unai Emery’s mis-performing squad when he took over from his countryman back in December.

However, the former Gunners midfielder has led the team to an FA Cup victory and the performances of the team have improved massively.

Unsurprisingly, a host of new players have been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, and with that being said, here are the latest Arsenal-related transfer rumours.

Eze wants Arsenal move

QPR star Eberechi Eze wants to move to his boyhood club, Arsenal, according to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol.

The article states that Eze will leave Loftus Road over the summer if one of the clubs interested in his talents offer £20m.

Eze grew up supporting the Gunners, and even played in their youth set-up, so that would be the ideal move for the 22-year-old.

The English attacking midfielder scored an impressive 14 goals in 46 Championship appearances for QPR last season.

Gunners make contact over Sanson move

Arsenal have made contact with French club Marseille over their midfielder Morgan Sanson, according to Le10 Sport.

The French outlet claims that the Gunners’ chiefs are monitoring Sanson’s situation at Marseille ahead of a potential switch to the Emirates.

Tottenham and West Ham have already registered an interest in the 25-year-old, according to some reports, but now Arsenal may have joined the race for his signature.

Despite Arsenal’s hierarchy being in contact with the Ligue 1 side, they are yet to discuss terms with Marseille, but are paying “close attention” to his developments.

Besiktas want Nelson on loan

Turkish side Besiktas want to take Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson on loan, according to the club’s journalist Safak Malatya, via Sport Witness.

Malatya has revealed that Besiktas have already agreed a deal to sign former Gunners striker Chuba Akpom, and now they are keen on Nelson.

The 20-year-old made 17 appearances in the Premier League last season - scoring the one goal - and could be allowed to leave on loan in the next campaign.

Nelson still has just under three years left on his current contract with Arsenal, expiring in June 2023.
