Arsenal transfer rumours: Dani Ceballos price revealed as Bayern Munich win Dayot Upamecano race

Arsenal’s season may be on hold as the world battles the coronavirus crisis, but that has not stopped reports claiming they are looking ahead and planning their summer transfer business.

It remains to be seen when the transfer window will open this summer, as leagues and associations battle to conclude their current campaigns.

But managers, and their recruitment staff, are believed to be keeping busy in isolation by planning deals well in advance, if the latest reports are to be believed.

With that in mind, here are the latest transfer rumours from the Emirates.

Arsenal back down from Umtiti hunt

Barcelona are looking to offload Samuel Umtiti when the transfer window reopens.

Spanish publication Sport claim that Barca want the 26-year-old off their wage list and therefore will allow him to leave in the upcoming window.

But the defender won’t be heading to Arsenal this summer, due to high wage demands that the Emirates clubs are not keen on meeting.

Ceballos price revealed

Real Madrid have reportedly named their price for Dani Ceballos.

Ceballos is currently on loan at Arsenal from Los Blancos, but has struggled for game time since Mikel Arteta’s arrival.

The Spaniard is likely to return to Madrid once his loan is up, with the club European heavyweights likely to demand around £43million for him this summer, according to AS.

Bayern win Upamecano race

Dayot Upamecano has rejected the chance to move to the Premier League.

According to a report in German outlet Bild, the defender has opted to join Bayern Munich this summer.

Upamecano has a buyout clause of £52million at Red Bull Leipzig, and although the German giants are, at the minute, against paying the required fee, Bild claim a deal has been agreed between the player and Bayern.
