Arsenal transfer round-up: Jurrien Timber spotted as Aaron Ramsdale's value emerges

Arsenal's summer transfer window has been the stuff of dreams from the perspective of the Emirates faithful as the Gunners look set to complete two huge deals this week.

With Kai Havertz already confirmed and having completed his first training session as an Arsenal player, the next few days should see both Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber also unveiled as Gunners stars. The move for Rice is a British record fee, with the West Ham skipper set to cost Mikel Arteta's men up to £105million including add-ons.

Given Havertz cost £65m and Timber around £38m, Arsenal will have surpassed the £200m mark on just three players. And yet, there are still reports claiming that the Gunners could make even more signings before the window's end.

With that in mind, Mirror Sport has taken a look at all the transfer talking points emerging out of the Emirates on Monday, July 10.

Timber spotted after Arsenal medical

Timber made the effort to travel back to the Netherlands to say goodbye to his Ajax colleagues on Saturday after completing his Arsenal medical.

The young Netherlands international was seen on the sidelines watching as the Dutch giants drew 2-2 with FC Den Bosch in their first friendly of the pre-season. His appearance came after he was in London on Friday to complete a medical ahead of his switch to the Gunners.

Timber's move is expected to be announced before Rice's mega-money switch sometime this week.

Ramsdale is number one

At the time the extension was announced, he addressed fans and explained: "I can't imagine my home being anywhere else. I feel honoured that you guys have welcomed me in and I feel honoured that the staff want me to stay.

"So it was the easiest decision in the world to commit my future to The Arsenal. So let's keep moving forward as a club and make some more special memories."

Kane encouraged to make shock switch

Harry Kane has been told to join Arsenal (Getty Imnages)

Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit has told Harry Kane to consider swapping Tottenham for their North London rivals.

"I would love to see Harry Kane at Arsenal," Petit told DAZN Bet. "I know people will laugh at that, but he started his career at Arsenal before joining Spurs as a youngster. There’s always so much speculation about him every summer, but Arsenal need a striker that can score at least 30 goals and there are not that many on the market.

"The situation reminds me of Kylian Mbappe; every single summer there is a question about whether or not he will stay or leave. If I am Harry Kane or a Spurs fan, I would be very annoyed about the constant speculation. He needs to make a definite decision about whether or not he wants to stay at the club. For the benefit of everyone involved at Spurs, I’m getting annoyed at constantly reading about these stories."

"It’s not as if Harry Kane is a young man, he will have a maximum of four years at the very highest level. This is the last important move of his career, he’s never won any medals or any honours and he can only reflect upon the individual awards he has won.

"Every player when they retire wants to look back at what they have won. He will always be remembered as a very good striker, but I’m pretty sure he must be tired of it."
