Arsenal transfer round-up: Gunners eye Nicolas Pepe and Bukayo Saka competitor

Mikel Arteta has overseen a dramatic turnaround in Arsenal' s fortunes during the last eight league games, taking the Gunners off the foot of the table and into fifth place.

Two points behind fourth-placed Liverpool, a daunting trip to Anfield is what awaits Arteta's Arsenal side next following the conclusion of the international break.

A large portion of Arsenal's ten game unbeaten run is down to the six players signed in the summer all adjusting to life in north London particularly quickly.

In turn, it has lead to increased faith from the Gunners fanbase that Arteta - along with technical director Edu Gaspar - have the ability to spot the kind of talent the squad needs.

However - they are in danger of losing one of the most promising players on the books.

With that being said - here is Mirror Sport's Arsenal transfer round-up for Sunday, November 14.

Arsenal academy star Folarin Balogun has conceded he has outgrown youth football and is ready for a new challenge at senior level.

After starring in Arsenal's opening two Premier League games of the season, Balogun has not been a part of Arteta's plans since - despite signing a four-year contract extension this summer.

As a result, the 20-year-old forward has discussed how he needs more senior football under his belt.

"I feel like I have played youth football for a while. I have scored goals at that level and improved at that level drastically compared to now.

"It might be a loan, or if I am needed at Arsenal I am here - and the gaffer knows that as well.

"I feel like I am definitely open to a new challenge, wherever it is I will be ready."

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool are one of a number of sides rumoured to be interested in the young striker's services.

Gunners eye Serie A star

Though Arteta has transformed Arsenal into a finely-tuned defensive unit, 13 goals in 11 league games suggests improvements can be made going forward.

According to SportsLens, one potential solution to the problem has been identified as Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi after his impressive displays for Italy at Euro 2020.

The Gunners are not alone in their interest, with Serie A outfit Fiorentina also in the race for his signature.

Sassuolo are rumoured to value Berardi at around £43m - though Arsenal have hardly been shy in splurging on their squad in recent windows, forking out just over £140m last summer alone.

Arsenal join the race for Noa Lang

Arsenal are the latest club to be touted with a move for Club Brugge star Noa Lang, as per Belgian outlet Voetbal Belgie.

Leeds United, AC Milan, West Ham United and Borussia Monchengladbach are all also included on the list of Lang's potential suitors.

German outfit Monchengladbach are the only club to boast Champions League football as a selling point, but have reportedly scoffed at Lang's £40m valuation.

As a result, Arsenal could use their stronger financial position as a means of hijacking any deal between Lang and the Bundesliga side.

Primarily a right-sided wide player, Lang would provide competition for Arsenal's record-signing for the likes of Nicolas Pepe - who has struggled for minutes this season, and academy graduate Bukayo Saka.
