Monday morning signalled the official opening of the summer transfer window. Clubs up and down the country will now be able to act on the various links attributed to them over the past few months.
Arsenal have reportedly had multiple irons in the fire throughout the 2019/20 campaign, with suggestions over possible moves for Thomas Partey, Philippe Coutinho, and a permanent deal for Dani Ceballos suggested.
There is much expectation among the Gunners’ fanbase that Edu and Raul Sanllehí can deliver some exciting signings this summer.
Here is the latest Arsenal transfers round-up.

Arsenal dealt blow in bid for defender
Another player Arsenal have been pursuing throughout this season has been RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
The 21-year-old’s contract was set to expire in June 2021 which meant he could have been available for a cut-price fee this summer. However, various reports suggest the centre-back has agreed an extension at the Bundesliga club.
Upamecano’s contract situation had been followed by a number of top European clubs, although now it appears he will be remaining with Julian Nagelsmann’s side for the foreseeable future.
Sportbuzzer do indicate that a £53 million release clause has been included in the deal, which gives some hope to potential suitors.
Zaha set for Palace exit
Long-time Arsenal transfer target Wilfried Zaha could finally leave Selhurst Park this summer.
The winger is reportedly ‘so set on leaving’, according to Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson, and Arsenal could be one of a number of clubs set to capitalise on the Ivorian’s supposed unhappiness in South London.
The Gunners were in for the 27-year-old last summer but opted to sign Nicolas Pepe instead.
According to the Independent, this year Palace will not be able to hold out for their £100 million asking price, alerting Arsenal to a potentially reduced fee signing.

Willian to stay in West London
Brazilian winger Willian was set to leave Chelsea at the end of this season on a free transfer after failing to agree to a two-year contract extension at Stamford Bridge. However, now it seems the two parties may have made a breakthrough on contract talks.
Arsenal had been linked with Willian given the closeness of the two clubs and the player’s desire to remain in London, but the Daily Express now report that the soon-to-be 32-year-old could sign a new deal by the end of this week.
Willian has been involved in 20 goals across all competitions this season and would have been a potent addition to Arteta’s attacking setup.
