Arsenal are expected to finalise a club-record £72million deal for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe in the coming days.
Though it will be paid in instalments across the duration of Pepe Arsenal's contract, the overall fee will dwarf the £56million record paid for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January 2018.
Aubameyang currently heads a long list of Gunners stars past and present as the most expensive signing, with Alexandre Lacazette, Mesut Ozil and Shkodran Mustafi also commanding hefty fees.
But Pepe is set to jump right to the top of a list that includes three further Unai Emery signings.
Two of those are Lucas Torreira and Bernd Leno, who both arrived for fees north of £20million in the Spaniard's first summer.
The recently-confirmed signing of William Saliba is the final Emery acquisition in the top 10. The Frenchman's fee will eventually rise to £27million, though Arsenal have only paid a small initial fee as he is returning to St-Etienne for the forthcoming campaign.
