Arsenal transfer policy on the agenda at fans meeting with Raul Sanllehi and Vinai Venkatesham

Arsenal’s head of football Raul Sanllehi and managing director Vinai Venkatesham will meet key supporters ahead of Saturday’s home League match against Chelsea.

The pair are keen to continue a series of “fans’ forums” to maintain relations between supporters and the club’s hierarchy, a practice favoured by now-departed chief executive Ivan Gazidis.

Questions have been submitted in advance of the meeting at Emirates Stadium and Standard Sport understands a range of topics will be discussed, including the Gunners’ self-sustainability model and owner Stan Kroenke’s desire to take fees out of the club.

Head coach Unai Emery’s admission last week that Arsenal have no money to spend in the January transfer window caused widespread consternation among fans.

Emery is keen to bring in at least one or two new players this month, with Arsenal currently lying fifth in the Premier League table, although the club are restricted to loan moves as they seek to prioritise reducing their wage bill.
