Arsenal transfer target Yannick Carrasco has criticised his Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang for suspending him following his late return from international duty.
Carrasco, who has reiterated his desire to return to Europe having come close to a move in January, returned to Dalian late after Belgium’s 3-0 victory against Scotland last week and missed the club’s league game against Hebei China Fortune.
Carrasco was subsequently told to apologise to his teammates and ordered to stop training with the squad, while his teammate, Yu Ziqian, accused the Belgian of unprofessional behaviour and suggested he should leave Dalian.
However, Carrasco took to Twitter to insists that he is being treated unfairly and that he still wants to do his best for the team.
“The attitude of some club’s leaders and team-mates towards me is incomprehensible to me given my commitment and performance with the team so far,” Carrasco wrote.
“The team needs me and I want to help the team. This problem needs to be solved.”
