After another drab draw against Brighton put the final dagger to Arsenal’s hopes of securing a top-four finish, Unai Emery has begun plotting his summer overhaul of the squad.
The Gunners have taken just one point from an available 12 in a dramatic Premier League collapse, although hope still remains of securing a Champions League spot for next season via the Europa League.
Whether Arsenal are able to do so will dramatically impact their pulling power during the transfer window, while the search continues for a technical director after Head of Recruitment Sven Mislintat’s surprise departure.
Aaron Ramsey, Danny Welbeck and Petr Cech are already set to depart while Denis Suarez will return to Barcelona after a miserable spell in North London. However, Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith Rowe will return from their loan spells in Germany providing a youthful spark to the squad.
