Arsenal transfer news: Unai Emery reveals what Kieran Tierney will bring to the Gunners

Unai Emery has labelled Kieran Tierney as a "very talented player" after sealing a £25m deal for the Celtic defender.

The 22-year-old Scottish international has put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the Emirates as Arsenal continue to strengthen this summer.

Tierney becomes the Gunners' fourth signing following the arrivals of Gabriel Martinelli, Dani Ceballos and Nicolas Pepe.

Manager Emery is delighted to get his man.

“We’re delighted Kieran is joining us. He’s a very talented player who will continue to improve.

"He increases our options defensively and I look forward to him joining our group.”

Tierney, who will wear the number 3 shirt, arrives after coming through the ranks with the Scottish champions and is excited to get underway.

“I’m a Celtic boy, born and raised. Joined my boyhood club, came up through the ranks and earned my place," he said upon his arrival.

"Now, I’ve come to London and I want to make some noise.”
