Arsenal told Willian must return negative test before joining training following Dubai trip

Arsenal winger Willian will be left out of first-team training at London Colney until he can provide a negative test for coronavirus having travelled to Dubai during the international break.

The Brazilian was pictured at the Nusr-Et steakhouse in Dubai with owner Nusret Gokce, more commonly known as "Salt Bae", on Instagram.

Current government guidelines state that "travelling away from home, including internationally, is restricted from England except in limited circumstances such as for work or for education."

It is unclear as to why Willian, who is thought to be back in the country but not required to self-isolate, made the trip during the current lockdown and Arsenal are currently working to establish the full facts.

The club will require a negative test before the 32-year-old can return to training with Mikel Arteta, who has already lost midfielder Mohamed Elneny for the trip to Leeds United after the Egyptian tested positive while on international duty.
