Arsenal told to exploit Manchester United and West Ham mistake for Mikel Arteta's dream outcome

West Ham, Brighton, Everton, Leicester, Manchester United and Tottenham are all the clubs vying for that Champions spot in fourth place. It's going to be a close race for it this season and has been for several years now.

The Premier League has slowly evolved into a league, where there is no guaranteed ‘top four’ so to speak. The miracle and joyous Leicester City title win in 2016 proved that.

Traditional, rich clubs are now being challenged as the wealth gap closes in some respect. But how could Arsenal fare when trying to win that fourth-place spot, amongst the tough competition?

The Arsenal Way's presenter and writer Tom Canton (TC) spoke with content editor and writer Chris Davison (CD) and Bailey Keogh (BK) on Thursday morning's Arsenal Agenda Show to discuss Arsenal chances of making a top-four finish this season.

CD: “I’m not sure about it.”

TC: “I genuinely think it’s more open than you believe it to be. You look at that fourth place, Manchester United are in crisis. West Ham are a very decent side. Leicester are a very decent side.

“But, that fourth spot is open to competition, It really is.”

CD: “One of my biggest concerns about this Arsenal team is, let’s just put how open the top four is to one side. It’s the inconsistency that is still in this Arsenal team and every week.

“They performed brilliantly against the likes of Tottenham and Aston Villa for example. But, this is based on, I can just imagine us going to the King Power and being incredibly poor and dire and drop points.

“That’s just how I see things playing out, based on what we’ve seen from this Arsenal team so far.”
