Arsenal told to 'break bank' and sanction £50m Mesut Ozil swap deal to sign Jack Grealish

Arsenal fan Piers Morgan says the club should "break the bank" to sign Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.

The England international has been in fantastic form of late, with a number of clubs said to be interested in a move for the 25-year-old.

Arsenal and Manchester United have been strongly linked with the midfielder, while Spurs came close to signing him in the summer of 2018.

But Grealish has so far stayed at Villa Park, where he captains his boyhood team - and is seriously impressing again this season.

And Arsenal fan Piers Morgan says the Gunners should be looking to buy the midfielder at all costs.

"Arsenal should break the bank for Jack Grealish in January," he wrote on Twitter.

"If we don't get some creative flair into the team, we're going nowhere - and he's the most creative player in the country.

"Offer Villa £100m for him or £50m + Ozil, Mustafi & Xhaka. I'm deadly serious."

Arsenal have stuttered in attack so far this season in the Premier League, scoring just 10 goals in their 10 league games as Mikel Arteta struggles to get his attack firing.

The Gunners have now gone three games without a win, and sit 14th in the table with a lack of creativity a noticeable aspect of their early season form.

Arsenal were linked with a number of attacking players in the summer, such as Houssem Aouar, and continue to be attached to rumours about the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai for the January transfer window.

A move for Grealish would be costly, given his importance to Villa and the new five-year contract he signed at Villa Park in September.
