Arsenal told price tag for transfer target as Champions League club circle

Arsenal will have to pay just £13.5m for Christian Nkunku this summer, according to reports in France.

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder was a transfer target for Unai Emery in January and is back on the radar as they eye summer reinforcements.

Previous reports claimed they could be priced out of a move with their tight budget with a £30m price tag slapped on his head by the Ligue 1 champions.

According to L'Equipe , they have slashed the price having failed to receive a single bid for the France Under 21 international, giving Arsenal hope of landing the place.

But the fall in price has led to Champions League outfit RB Leipzig pondering a move which could rival the Gunners.

Nkunku is under contract in the French capital until June 2020, but his agent, Jose-Karl Pierre-Fanfan confirmed a summer exit could be on the cards as he searches for more first team football.

He said: "The playing time is insufficient. Christopher is open to a departure."

Nkunku appeared in 26 games for PSG last season, scoring three goals, but showed promise under Unai Emery at the Parc des Princes before he took over at Arsenal.

A reunion could now be on the cards for a more affordable price as the Spanish manager works with a tight £45m budget after missing out on Champions League qualification.
