Liverpool's Premier League title win is reportedly good news for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta.
On Thursday night following Manchester City's 2-1 loss away at Chelsea, the Reds ended a 30-year wait to once again be crowned champions of England.
As a result, the Mail claim that the Merseyside giants are set to pay millions to their domestic rivals in bonus transfer payments.
One of those rivals are the Gunners.
In the summer of 2017, midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain swapped the Emirates Stadium for Anfield and will soon be rewarded with his first-ever Premier League winner's medal.
The aforementioned report states that Southampton are set to be the biggest profiteers, as they are due a significant seven-figure sum, as high as £3million.
It remains to be seen just how much the north London outfit will receive, but the windfall could come in handy in regards to Arteta's transfer plans.
Arsenal have been linked with moves for Thomas Partey, Dayot Upamecano and Dominik Szoboszlai among others, but the financial situation at the club means they will have to get creative in the market.
Talk of a £45m move for Partey refuses to go away, so could a payment from the news Premier League champions help finance a transfer?
Whilst Oxlade-Chamberlain could be responsible for boosting Arteta's summer transfer budget, the midfielder's decision to join Liverpool three summers ago has proven to be the right one.
"The first thing was the tough decision to leave Arsenal," he told Sky Sports. "That was the only thing that was really tough for me and the deliberation but Liverpool was the only option for me in terms of where I thought I would be playing.
"The team and the feel of the whole football club in general just sat right with me.
"I think there are really exciting things to come here and especially with this manager so I felt it was right for me to push to be a part of that.
"I’m delighted that I finally got the opportunity to."
