Arsenal to make major change to Mikel Arteta's backroom staff

Arsenal are looking to secure Paris Saint-Germain physio Bruno Mazziotti to replace Liverpool-bound Chris Morgan in a shake-up behind the scenes.

The Gunners have seemingly fended off Liverpool's interest in Gary O'Driscoll but Morgan, who joined Arsenal from the Merseyside outfit in 2016, will return to the Premier League champions, the Athletic's David Ornstein states.

That leaves Arsenal with a void to fill in their medical team and the report states that PSG's Bruno Mazziotti is their target to come into the club.

The Brazilian is seemingly available as L'Equipe reported at the start of the month that he will be departing the Parc des Princes as part of the French champions' latest shake-up to their medical team.

Mazziotti is said to have been recruited by PSG icon Thiago Silva, who will also leave the club this summer, and worked with Brazil's national side at the 2018 World Cup.

As part of that role, he worked hard with Neymar to get the forward fit for the World Cup in Russia following his injury issues and his role would have seen him work closely with Edu, who was technical director from 2016.

Mazziotti has previously worked with Brazilian outfit Corinthians and Chinese side SD Luneng.
