Arsenal 'to lodge opening Ryan Fraser bid' after Europa League final

Arsenal will step up their pursuit of Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser and table their first offer after their Europa League final.

Mirror Sport revealed last month that the Scotland international is on the Gunners' transfer summer hit-list.

Fraser caught the eye with performances for Bournemouth this season and other clubs have been looking as Tottenham have also scouted him.

But the Gunners are keen to win the race for the talented forward, and are in the process of beginning negotiations with their Premier League rivals.

According to The Independent , the Cherries value Fraser at £30million, particular as Aberdeen are owed around 20 per cent of the fee as part of a sell-on clause.

Arsenal , however, are intent on lowering that price as they have other targets too, and boss Unai Emery won’t be given a huge summer budget.

Fraser is entering the final year of his current contract on the south coast and Bournemouth have been in talks to extend his spell with the club.

But talks have stalled in recent months and Bournemouth may be forced to cash in this summer rather than lose him for free at the end of next season.

Fraser has gained a reputation for being a quick, technical player and has an eye for goal with Arsenal looking to bolster their squad in that department.

Arsenal will have only limited funds this summer which may be boosted if they finish in the Champions League places.

Despite missing out on a top-four place, they’ll qualify for Europe’s elite club competition if they beat Chelsea in next Wednesday’s Europa League final in Baku.
