Arsenal will face Stade Rennes across two legs in the Europa League last 16 after beating BATE Borisov on Thursday night.
The Gunners were 1-0 down on aggregate following last week's first leg away in Belarus but booked their place in the next round with a 3-0 victory at Emirates Stadium.
Given the game kicked off at 5.55pm, there was a sizeable crowd in place to cheer Arsenal into the next round courtesy of a fourth-minute Zakhar Volkov own goal and headers from defensive duo Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
It means Arsenal remain in the hunt for silverware this season despite crashing out of both domestic cup competitions.
The Europa League comes with the added incentive of a Champions League berth for the overall winners and the Unai Emery will see that as a fall-back plan should his side fail to finish inside the Premier League top four.
Last 16 ties will be playes on March 7 and March 14, ahead of the quarter-final and semi-final draw on March 15.
