Arsenal set to avoid losing Brazilian duo
With Premier League clubs facing the prospect of being without their Brazilian players this weekend, Arsenal are likely to be unaffected by the chaos.
The Brazilian Football Federation is on a collision course with teams that refused to release their players for the international break, with the federation asking FIFA to impose their “five-day ban” rule.
Eight players are said to be affected across five clubs.
Gunners duo Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli should be available for Saturday’s clash against Norwich given that neither has earned a senior cap for their national squad yet.

Marc Overmars plays down return rumours
The likelihood of one former Arsenal player replacing another as technical director is looking slim.
Marc Overmars has been rumoured to replace Edu given the latter’s recent spending policy and the club’s dire start to the season.
Having experience with Ajax in a similar role, Overmars is seen by fans as the perfect person to step in should a change be made in the near future.
But the 48-year-old has poured cold water on him leaving anytime soon.
Speaking to Ajax TV, he said: “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. If your old shoes are still comfy, keep wearing them.”
